According to the Beeb's website, the first live show of the season is on Saturday September 20th.

Celebrities will be officially named this Thursday, August 28th (despite the fact the papers were naming them this weekend, will be interesting to see how right it is!)

Meanwhile, Dancing with the Stars announced their line-up today - details behind the cut because it's a long one!) But never mind the celebs, MAKS is back!! 

"Dancing with the Stars" begins its new season on ABC Monday, Sept. 22. Here's the full rundown of the cast:

I know!! I was excited when I saw that (even though I don't particularly like Tony) but then I saw Maks is dancing again and that was me happy!!

I'm wondering what the profesional line up will look like on Strictly this year though now that Nicole is gone. I wonder if there will be any others missing!

I think everyone else is back - they have one of the pro dancers from New Zealand - Hayley Holt, and 2 from America (one is Brian Fortuna, I can't remember her name, it's something like Kristina or Kristianna (and watch that be completely wrong!).

So as far as the pro dances go, I'm betting the 2 americans will dance together, they'll put Hayley with Brendan (both Kiwis) and that leave Matthew to pair up with Karen Hardy (who are doing Diet on the Dancefloor together on Living).

And how sad is it that I have given this so much thought???

lol that's what laurajo and I thought, that they'd split Karen and Brendan considering in Blackpool she really didn't say a lot that indicated she enjoyed dancing with him! (Side note: Her mother in law trained both her husband Conrad and Brendan, small world!)
