smiley_bSo, on Friday night, I was giving out because we're stuck on dial-up and it takes forever to do anything on the net.
Yesterday, things got worse - as when we got up yesterday morning, we discovered the amplifier had blown on our TV aerial, which means none of the channels are coming in (save RTE 1, the reception isn't great but you can just about watch it). Everything else is just mired in static. We can still watch the terrestrial channels through Sky, but the problem there is we don't have multi-room, so you can only watch one channel at a time (hence Dad staking his claim to the sitting room early, iron grip on the remote, so he can watch the football)!
Can't complain though - I did get to watch my Sunday double-bill of Dream Team (my guilty pleasure) and 24 (Must See TV). Though I had to forgo taping McLeods Daughters this morning so Mum could watch the breakfast show on TV3.
Bright spot - Dad got on the phone, called in a few favours and has a guy coming out to try to fix the amplifier(or put up a new aerial) this afternoon (it's raining and blowing a gale outside - great day for it!). So hopefully it'll be fixed sooner rather than later!!!
