Judges for SCD 7

Have just seen on DigitalSpy that the Beeb have confirmed that Alesha Dixon will be a judge on the next season of Strictly, replacing Arlene Philips.

Also, Darcey Bussell will appear as a guest judge at the end of the season, and will have a role on It Takes Two as well.

Honestly, my reaction is they've got it the wrong way round!! I'd rather see Alesha on ITT (maybe doing backstage stuff, interviews) and Darcey as a judge full-time. She would be a much better choice, much as I love Alesha!!

Press release says these are only part of the new format for this years show; more will be revealed later in the year.

Could be a trainwreck in the making....

Oh, I'll still watch (unless they get rid of some of my favourite professionals, in which case I reserve the right to change my mind!!)

I agree that Alesha wasn't the best they've ever had - much as I loved her and Matthew, there were DEFINTELY times when she was overmarked (the samba, for instance, and I've never understood why everyone raved over the cha-cha that was in no way shape or form a cha-cha!!!)

Out of interest, who would you put as the best celeb they've ever had? I think I'd have to go with Jill Halfpenny....

For it was Jill as well, but I think I'd baulk at even her joining the panel.

If they wanted to switch judges it should have been a professional, maybe Camilla? Someone who actually knows what they're talking about basically.
