HOWEVER...
I don't think it's spoiling anything at all to say OH MY EFFING GOD THE PROMO FOR NEXT WEEK "A BURNING ATTRACTION BOILS OVER" SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS IT NEXT MONDAY YET??????

And now I have got that out of my system (SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), thoughts on this weeks ep are behind the cut.
OK, first off the bat, I am going to have NIGHTMARES tonight, because a good 95% of that episode was CREEPY AS HELL. Dude, I can't even articulate anymore than that, anyone who's reading this has seen it and understands. CREEPY AS HELL. And just when you think it's over and they fish poor dead Bailey out of the water.... dude, I screamed so loud through this ep, I guarantee I'm going to go downstairs and my mother is going to be all "WHAT were you looking at?"
I was actually sorry about the aforementioned Poor Dead Bailey - he seemed like a really nice guy, and the actor had good chemistry with Lisa. Of course, you all know I'm a Buffer/X fan (SQUEEEEEEE!!!!!!!) even though I'm sure Kate and Mike are endgame, but I think Kate really thought that something could have developed there. And of course, because he's reserve, I'm sure there's no pesky fraternisation regs (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...) Oh well.....
Loved the whole swimming in the coral reef at the start - of course, Buffer in a pair of swimming shorts didn't hurt!!! It was so funny, when Bomber was looking at the camera and saying "Oh my God" as Spider was run over by the boat, they cut straight to a shot of Buffer running into the water - all I could think was "Which is she reacting to?!?!"
This whole ep, I have to say, was very heavy on the Bomber / Spider shippy stuff, wasn't it? And I loved the scene where Swain is talking her through how to treat Spider's wound - a nice pick-up from last week, where she felt so out of her depth on the rescue.
Going back to the creepy as hell bits, I loved seeing Kickass!Kate, though when she sent Buffer and 2Dads off to search for Bailey, I was shrieking at the computer "safety in numbers, you crazy lady!!!" (Though admittedly, if I was her, I'd be clinging onto Buffer for dear life....)
The Buffer and 2Dads scenes - where they both thought they were going to die in the freezer, and Buffer put his arm around 2Dads was really nicely done; I'm hoping the ice has thawed now between those two (pun very definitely intended)!
And because I have a sick and depraved mind, was I the only person who expected there to be bodies in those plastic bags in the freezer, instead of legs of meat? OK then, just me....
That's all I can think of for the mo- oh, wait. The trailer for next week. SQUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I so seriously cannot wiat for this episode!!! "A burning attraction explodes!" "If you wait for something it'll never happen" MIke looking stricken!! Kate and Buffer in close proximity, possibly kissing!!!!

At the end of a shitty, shitty day, with the promise of even shittier days to come, this made it ALL WORTHWHILE PEOPLE!!!!!!

Date: 2009-07-06 08:31 pm (UTC)I am one who thinks that the longer this show goes on the less likely that MK is endgame. Lisa and JLT have such amazing on screen chemistry. They are working together even more. And it hasn't escaped anyone's notice that they're having Buffer semi nude a lot more too..lol They'll go with their assets. In the meantime i'll take the touching, no matter how brief, and the incredible 'eye sex" between these too.
As for next week... SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
