OK, let me just put it very simply - CRYSTAL CHAPPELL WAS ROBBED BLIND.

Am delighted for Danny Cosgrave and Jeff Branson, both of whom I adore. Jeff Branson in particular has been excellent as Shayne. I would have liked to have seen Gina T in there somewhere, but Crystal is the one that really sticks in my craw.

And can someone - ANYONE - explain to me how EJ Bonilla (Rafe, GL) made it onto the shortlist?? He's awful!!!

Very surprised that Y&R didn't get a nom for Best Drama - if nothing else been consistent all year and they should be there.

I don't watch AMC, but I'm very surprised that it's leading the pack with 19 noms. All the messageboards and blogs I read are of the opinion that it's a hot mess at the moment (cheapevilgirl, misssimm, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that!!) But I'm very glad to see Debbi Morgan on that list, because from the clips I've seen she is wonderful. 

Delighted that Kristen Storms got a nod, but MYSTIFIED about Julie Marie Berman. I enjoyed her when she started as Lulu, but she's getting on my last nerve at the moment (or she was, I've given up on watching GH except for the occasional clip here and there.)

So, to sum up? CRYSTAL CHAPPELL. ROBBED BLIND.

To be honest, 2008 was a transition year for GL with the new format, most of what's been raved about has been in 2009. So it SHOULD get more love next year (and if Crystal doesn't get a nom then, I'll be very unhappy!!)

RE Y&R, that twist was just amazing (and I can't BELIEVE they managed to keep it a secret!!!). But Tammin is just dreadful - I hit "Skip" as soon as she appears. Hated her in H&A (on the rare occasions I watched it) and the girl has not improved over time!
