GH casting!!!

Today has been a bumper day for GH casting news!!

First, Brandon Barash is out as Johnny!

Then, Vanessa Marcil and Ingo Rademacher are back as Brenda and Jax for the 50th anniversary! (leobrat was the first person I thought of when i heard that!)

And now, Marcy Rylan (ex-Lizzie Spaulding on GL) is announced as the new Lulu Spencer!! Which I'm delighted about - I loved her as Lizzie!!

All this serves as a nice distraction from real life - a man was shot dead in the car park of the local pub this afternoon - it is literally 5 minutes walk away from my house! Passed by there on way home - Garda cars and tv news vans all over the place. Scary stuff.

Marcy as Lulu is fantastic news! The character was one of the reasons I stopped watching so I hope they use the change in actress for a well needed (in my eyes) reboot.

Happy about Ingo but a bit meh about Vanessa. I just didn't enjoy Brenda the last time around.

Problem is if I start with GH again I'm going to end up regretting deleting all my clips aren't I?

Am delighted for Marcy, think she's going to be so good as Lulu!

The writing just BUTCHERED Brenda on VM's last go round, I stopped watching then because it was PAINFUL and made NO SENSE!

And you may well wind up regretting deleting your clips if you start watching again - but you should (even just watch some stuff on YT to make up your mind) because its getting to be like a Proper Soap again!

But I'm sad that BB is out...is Johnny being recast or is he just going to be gone?

Then again, he's been so maligned at this point, it might not be anything worth it for him to stay for. Plus, he's been Carly-fied, therefore poisoned.

I think Johnny is gone - the new regime definitely seem to be moving away from the mob based stories (huzzah!!) so that could play a part.... But Brandon chose to go & I can't blame him, as you say the writing has been just awful for him recently! (Which is a crying shame because there was so much potential there!)
