smiley_bSo, Jan Moir has written another piece on Stephen Gately.
In it, she expresses regret for any affront caused, but calls the outcry over her piece "a hysterical overreaction" and says that, "clearly much of it was an orchestrated campaign by pressure groups and those with agendas of their own".
She also asks "is there a compulsion today to see bigotry and social intolerance where none exists by people who are determined to be outraged? Or was it a failure of communication on my part?"
I'm going with EPIC FAILURE of communication on her part - it was, as I said last week, a vile and spiteful excuse for an article, especially considering the funeral hadn't even taken place at that point.
