Crystal Chappell fired from Days of our Lives

Crystal announced the news herself on Twitter.... given that she's one of the most popular actors in the medium right now, I think this is a huge mistake.

I find it sad that with less and less soaps around it's unlikely some of these actors will be seen on daytime again. Same with Maura West.

The really sad part is the show never did anything major with her once she resigned. It's frustrating that amazing actors continually get fired for younger less experienced and often times less talented actors.

I know; though there seems to be a lot of webseries being done - Venice, Gotham, The Bay - indie web series seem to be the way of the future....

Completely agree on this; and then people wonder why soaps are dying - because of bonehead decisions like this one!

The tweet wasn't on Crystal's own page, she tweeted it from her husband Michael Sabatino's account, so some people may have missed it at first. I saw it just as I was going to bed.... knocked the sleepiness right out of me!
